Hi! I was asked by Karen Gauthier to be part of A Blog Hop With A Difference so we can all get to know each other more. I met her by being on the Magnolia-licious yahoo group and last year we discovered our birthdays were a few days apart.
What am I working on?
I am usually working on cards with Magnolia images on them. I love, love Magnolia stamps and Magnolia Doohickey dies. I also love making cards as it gives me a creative outlet without taking up lots of time. I'm a homeschool mom to my youngest who has special needs and I don't have a lot of free time to make big projects. I am currently a Design Team member at Magnolia-licious. I love being part of that wonderful group of ladies and Diana is just the best to work for. It has been an awesome experience.
I also became a Grandma in May to a handsome little boy! I love being his Grandma and just wish he lived closer so I could see him more.
How does my creative process work?
I usually color a bunch of images when I'm in the mood and then put the cards together whenever I have a few minutes here and there to work on them. I love embellishments and lots of layers. I usually make vintage and distressed things as I like the inked up aged look.
How does my work differ from others?
I'm not really sure. I do like to think I march to my own drummer. I'm not one to take classes, I'd rather figure it out myself. I don't plan it out ahead of time, I just go with the flow and figure it out as I go.....depending on my mood at the time.
Next on the hop are my friends Danielle and Deanna.....posting August 18th...
Danielle....we got to know each other on a Cricut yahoo group a few years back and now own a group together that is super small with great ladies that like to talk about crafts, sales, our daily lives and our families. She makes wonderful cards and also has been making quilts for family members.
Deanna.....she became a Grandma a couple weeks before me this year and has made some beautiful things for her new Grandson. She also makes great cards and is starting to scrapbook adorable photos of her Grandson. We got to know each other on a Cricut yahoo group a few years ago and are in the little group together.
Thanks for stopping by!
