Journey
Hi! I am happy to report that I finally took time to *gasp* read the directions on the camera I got a couple of months ago, so all the settings should be in the proper place now. Well, at least until I need to use it with a flash, that will probably get me all mess up again. lol I wish I could get the same exact things when something breaks so that I know how to use it without opening that darn manual. As you can see, I am still addicted to making vintage type cards. This is a hobby for me, so I enjoy just going with the flow of wherever it takes me. That's why I very seldom enter a challenge and have no desire to be on a design team any more. I don't want this to be forced and made for someone else's specifications, I'd rather be artistic and make it when I want to and not when I have to. And lately what I want to do is ink up everything I can get my hands on! lol I had a lot of fun making this card. I used Spellbinders dies in Labels Four and also the new Gold Labels Four. I had to cut the fuchsia label by hand because I wanted just a bit of it to show and the next one up was too wide. I have to do that a lot and my cutting isn't perfect, but I like having the raw artsy look. I used paper by Bo Bunny and Wild Rose Studios. The Paris tag is from 7gypsies and the Date label is from Jenny Bowlin. Then mini tags are from Papertrey Ink and Doohickey dies and the journey charm is from Oriental Trading. I colored this Magnolia stamped image with Prismacolor pencils and Copic markers. I added Ranger distress ink in Walnut Stain. I then finished it off with lace, ribbon, stickles, and stitching. Thanks for stopping by!

Gorgeous card. I've looked through every picture on your blog, left comments on most, from current to last October. I think I love the way you color their skin now better than before...it's lighter and I want to touch it cause it looks soft. Your coloring with pencils is alarmingly fantastic...I mean, like I feel the velvet fabric just by looking at them. You're a wonderful cardmaker and have an eye for color and design. Hugs, Gail
